Architecture patterns corpus

Approved, generalized patterns. Source of truth is the markdown in this directory (not AnyType).

  • Write new files with TEMPLATE.md via the promote-to-pattern skill — never auto-sweep Work space.
  • Index and search: cd patterns && uv sync && uv run patterns index (MCP: search_patterns, get_pattern).
  • Topics must be in ../anytype-integration/schemas/topic-tags.json.
  • Two tiers. This directory is the public tier: patterns that are your own or clearly reusable, anonymised and license-checked. Every pattern starts in the private tier, a directory outside the repo (default <workspace.data_root>/patterns/, or [patterns] private_corpus_dir) that is never committed, built into the docs, or run in CI. Search reads both and every hit says which tier it came from. A missing private directory is an empty tier.
  • The private tier must not be under workspace.rag_deny_globs (lab/**, projects/work/**) and must not be inside the repo; indexing refuses it. Elsewhere under workspace.data_root is fine.
  • Provenance goes in the frontmatter: source_url, license (for external material), and employer_derived (true or false). Leave a field empty if you do not know; a pattern with missing provenance stays private.
  • Moving a pattern from private to public is an explicit act, never automatic.

README.md and TEMPLATE.md are not indexed.
